If you enjoy having a a beverage every once in a while, keep your money out of the casino if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your pocketbook, your billfold, and keep all money, credit cards and checkbooks out of the casino. Pack whatever cash you intend to spend on refreshments, tipping and only the pocket change you expect to lose and keep the rest behind.
Contemptuous? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You can have a win after a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be lucky sufficiently to catch a long roll at a on fire craps table. Hang on to that story because it is as brief as it gets if you continuously drink alcohol and wager. The two just don’t go well together.
Leaving your cash out of the casino is a little dramatic, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is essential. If you bet to profit, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to blow your money nary a worry, then consume all the free booze you are able to handle, but do not carry charge cards and cheques to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your drunken brain squanders every little thing!
